East End Ink - Thursday January 15 at 12 Noon

The installment of East End Ink scheduled for today has been postponed so we can respond to the urgent situation in the Middle East.

Tune in on Thursday, February 19 to hear Bob Zellner read from his memoir of the 1960's civil rights struggle "The Wrong Side of Murder Creek, A White Southerner in the Freedom Movement".

Today we present a reading from We Begin Here: Poems for Palestine and Lebanon. We Begin Here was edited by France-based writer Kamal Boullata and East Ender Kathy Engel, a poet, teacher, activist and a Founding Advisor of the Middle East Children's Alliance.

We highlight MECA's work to bring relief to the civilian population of Gaza.

'We Begin Here" was published by Interlink Books. This reading was recorded in June of 2007 at Canio's Books in Sag Harbor, New York.
