The 5 people arrested on April 15, 2006 are scheduled to appear before East Hampton Justice Catherine Cahill at the East Hampton Justice Court on Pantigo Road (Rte 27) at 9:30 am Friday. This trial has been postponed several times incuding in July when one of the several police witnesses could not be present.
The five, Kathy Engel, Ella Engel-Snow, Paola Agudela, Dan Steiger and Connor Wolf-Milne were arrested as they walked on East Hampton Village's Main Street carrying signs in opposition to the war in Iraq. A similar demonstration was held August 25 in the same place when over 100 people participated ... this time without arrests and with the cooperation of the East Hampton Village Police.
