On October 6th, join Culture Project at Judson Memorial Church for a very special staged reading of EMMETT, DOWN IN MY HEART, a play by Clare Coss about the brutal 1955 murder of 14-year-old Emmett Till in Mississippi.
Starring Danny Glover and Kathleen Chalfant ,directed by Kenny Leon, who led the Tony Award winning and Emmy nominated revival of A Raisin in the Sun on Broadway, the play tells a sobering and gripping story of race relations in the Jim Crow south, and offers reflections on bigotry and the need to heal the divided soul of our country that are all too relevant today.
Don't miss this special one night only event, presented in partnership with Middle Collegiate Church and Judson Memorial Church!
Monday, October 6th at 8pm at Judson Memorial Church, 55 Washington Square South (corner of Thompson St.)
Tickets are available at www.cultureproject.org or by calling 212-352-3101
