* June 2(Thursday): Affordable Housing Panel with LIProgressive Coalition and Group for South Fork Representatives in Remsenburg at 7pmA panel discussion on affordable housing with Lisa Tyson of the Long Island Progressive Coalition, Bob DeLuca of the Group for the South Fork and Diana Weir of the LI Builders Association will be held at the Remsenburg-Speonk Elementary School at 7pm. The event is sponsored by the Remsenburg/Speonk Civic Association which has opposed recent legislation under consideration by the Southampton Town Board.
The LIPC have been supporting groups advocating for affordable housing legislation in Southampton Town and elsewhere. Recently the Group for the South Fork have supported civic groups opposed to legislation proposed by the Southampton Town Board.

June 4 & 5 (Saturday & Sunday): LI Native American Pow Wow at Center Moriches
The 8th Annual Native American Task Force Pow Wow with indigenous music and dance groups from around the country and the Americas will be at Center Moriches High School from 10 am to 7pm on Saturday, June 4 and from 11 am to 6 pm on Sunday June 5. The location is on Frowein Road in Center Moriches.
The Pow Wow will include indigenous singers, drummers and dancers, with Native representatives from the Americas and the Caribean. Also, Native food, art, jewelry, raffles and give-aways. There will be an art contest with students from Center Moriches.
The Silver Cloud Singers will be the 'Host Drum' group. The Grand Entry will be at 1pm on Saturday and Sunday.
There is a modest admission fee which benefits scholarships for Long Island Native Americans.

June 5 (Sunday): East End Women in Black Vigil for Peace in Bridgehampton at 5pm
East End Women in Black continue the third year of their vigil for peace and an end to the occuptions of Iraq and of Palestine. On the first Sunday each month the location is the Monument on Route 27 and Ocean Road in Bridgehampton. On the third Sunday the vigil returns to the Wharf at Sag Harbor. Starting on June 5 the vigils will be at 5pm.

June 12(Sunday): Benefit Concert for WPKM/Montauk & WPKN/Bridgeport at Riverhead 1 to 7pm
Help support the station that airs progressive viewpoints, absolutely no corporate or other advertising and distinctly non-commercal music. WPKM at 88.7 Montauk started broadcasting recently and covers 'the end' of the east end. WPKN at 89.5 from Bridgeport can be heard in most of eastern Long Island.
A benefit concert at the Martha Clara Vineyards in Riverhead for WPKN 89.5 FM(Bridgeport) and WPKM 88.7 FM(Montauk) will be held Sunday, June 12 from 1 PM to 7 PM.

another and receive feedback on how to structure and shape their life
writing.
The East Hampton workshop is open to East Hampton Town residents. It
