Following our tradition of speaking against an unjust war, we are encouraging our members to condemn Israel's assault on Gaza. As of today there are over 1,100 deaths including non-combatants and children and over 5,000 wounded.
We are joining the voice of all human rights groups including the American Friends Service, Jewish Voice for Peace, Pax Christi, Human Rights Watch and many more who are calling for an end to the bombing and occupation of Gaza. United Nations (UNWRA) is asking for an investigation into war crimes.
In Congress earlier this month just four Congressman led by Dennis Kucinich had the courage to vote against HR34 a resolution that called for an "immediate and unconditional ceasefire" and "unrestricted humanitarian access" to Gaza. Our representative, Tim Bishop was not one of them.
Call Rep. Bishop and let him know that we are opposed to the slaughter of innocents in Gaza as well as the ongoing military aid that makes us complicit in Israel's slaughter of the people of Gaza.
