August 10 (Wednesday) Demonstration Against Walmart in Commack at 5 pm

Please join Long Island labor and religious organizations as we leaflet in front of the Costco store in Commack, asking peopole NOT to purchase school supplies at Walmart this fall.

Why Costco?

Costco is a solid union employer, and we are encouraging people to purchase there -- Costco is right next to where Smithtown has approved the construction of a Wal-Mart.

Many of us have been extremely disugsted AND frustrated with the business practices of Walmart for a VERY, VERY long time. NOW is another opportunity to actively share this information with others, and hopefully let Walmart know they MUST CHANGE. PLEASE join the many people coming from both religious and labor backgrounds, as we suggest to consumers that they refrain from purchasing school supplies at Walmart. The Campaign Against Walmart continues! Please join us...we NEED YOU!!!!!!This event and campaign is organized by Jobs with Justice.Directions to Costco:From the west:LIE E to exit 52. Continue straight on the service road to Crooked Hill Rd (route 13). Make a LEFT on Crooked Hill. Go under the LIE, and make a RIGHT into shopping center. Costco will be in front of you.
